Nobody really knows how much water is used to produce everyday items such as a pair of shoes, a chocolate bar or a beer. The European Commission (DG Environment) lets people discover via a website just how many litres of water are used in the production of goods we use every day.
Ogilvy Brussels developed the website as well as the teaser movie showing the theory being put into practice. If 2,393 (!) litres of water are needed to make a hamburger, exactly how many balloons can be filled with such a quantity? And more importantly, what do you do with all those balloons filled with water? You will find the answer in the movie.
