Ogilvy honoured with 2 European Excellence Awards
December 10th, 2012 - Ogilvy Brussels was awarded two European Excellence Awards last week in a ceremony held in London, UK to recognize the best communication campaigns across Europe. Receiving the highest number of campaigns shortlisted of any Belgian agency, Ogilvy Brussels took home awards in the categories “Best Issues & reputation management campaign” for the Belgian Pharmacists’ Association (APB) and “Best Social media campaign” for Alzheimer’s Disease International. Ogilvy Brussels is the only Belgian agency to receive a European Excellence Award this year.
The Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought is awarded each year by the European Parliament. It is intended to honor exceptional individuals, groups of people and institutions who combat intolerance, fanaticism and oppression. Like Andrei Sakharov himself, winners of the prize have demonstrated courage in the defense of human rights and freedom of expression.


Pfizer, with the help of Ogilvy Brussels, launched a new brand called Siga red, the first brand of fake cigarettes that helps smokers quit smoking. Siga red is the new smoking cessation campaign from Pfizer.
Ogilvy Healthcare Brussels launched the ‘Superhero? Pharmacist!’ campaign developed on behalf of APB, the Belgian Pharmacists’ Association, as part of a strategy to emphasize the added value of pharmacists. Ogilvy PR Brussels caused bedlam in Belgium as they shook Brussels all night long on Thursday October 4th! No, AC-DC were not in town, but it was the Official Grand Opening of Hard Rock Cafe Brussels! Ogilvy PR Brussels put its expertise at the service of some very special guests last week on Tuesday 18 September. OPR Brussels organized the visit of ten pandas at the heart of the Belgian and European capital. The pandas (actors in costumes) mingled with the population in their quest for a Belgian candidate with a passion for the protection of endangered species, someone who will support their cause and become a global Panda spokesperson in 2013.
September 18th, 2012 - Ogilvy Brussels is launching worldwide an awareness campaign for Alzheimer’s Disease International in support of World’s Alzheimer’s Day on Friday September 21st.
The purpose of the campaign is to make people aware of how it feels to have to live with Alzheimer’s Disease by wiping out all memories of Facebook users for one day. How ? By donating their timeline to the international Alzheimer association.
September 11th, 2012 - The European Parliament’s Directorate-General for Communication has selected a consortium led by Ogilvy Group Belgium, part of Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) to promote awareness and understanding of the lawmaking institution through campaigns and events leading up to the 2014 European Elections.
